Coding for GOOD appears to be an elaborate job search, but it is much more than that. It is an elaborate attempt to draw attention to the skills gap and show other companies how they can fill it. Despite our current high unemployment rates, tech companies are still having a difficult time finding employees that possess the skills and talent they need. [GOOD] started this project not just to find new talent, but to make it.
As the engineering component of GOOD's Special Projects team, my role in this project included building the website/cms on which the program ran, collaborating on concept and design, mentoring participants, and coordinating with an outside vendor to develop content.view project

As part of eBay's small, cross-functional “Visiontyping” team I partnered with eBay Research Labs to design a user experience prototype to serve the purpose of demonstrating the capabilities of an in-progress recommendation API. I also contributed to the early-stage prototypes of what would later become Instant Sale.
As Digg’s second Interface Designer, I designed, contributed to, and supported implementation of numerous initiatives including: user profiles and preferences, content submission process, Digg the Election, iGoogle Gadget, Recommendation Engine, Digg Images, company blog redesign, and more.
